These Healthy Thanksgiving Traditions Will Make Your Holiday Extra Special This Year

It's been a year like no other, and that will no doubt include Thanksgiving 2020. If you're looking for a few new Thanksgiving activities or traditions to fill the day, we've got you covered. We won’t deviate too far from the turkey in the oven (or the deep-fryer), or the plethora of pies, or the quality time (even virtually) with your friends and family. But along the way, there's still plenty of room for some at-home creativity.

This year, consider hosting a yoga session in place of (or in addition to) that annual turkey trot. Rather than braving the cold and attending your local parade in-person, you could watch the popular Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on television with hot apple cider. And while your usual family flag football game may be rescheduled, consider a friendly Zoom arts and crafts challenge.

As you head into this holiday of gratitude, remember to be thankful for all of your blessings, especially amid this challenging year. These creative Thanksgiving activities will make the day just a tad brighter.

There’s nothing quite as impressive (or as tasty) as a well-curated cheese board, and luckily, there are plenty of cheese purveyors across the country that can help you put on a delightful dairy spread. Check out Cello Cheese for their beautiful rubbed fontal cheese, available in eight varieties, or artisan cheesemaker Jasper Hill Farm, whose monthly subscription box of cheeses can be laid out for a truly breathtaking spread.
